Memorial services will be Wednesday, March 10 at 3 p.m. at Christ Episcopal Church in Cody for Marilyn Blair-Proffitt, 58, Powell, who died Wednesday, March 3 in Omaha, Neb., of a complicated illness.

She was born in Cody on July 11, 1945, to Quinn Blair and Elizabeth Horstman Blair. She graduated from Cody High School in 1963.

She attended Westminster College in Salt Lake City, Utah, and Northwest Community College in Powell and went on to work in the counseling field.

Survivors include her husband, Jim Proffitt of Powell; daughter Angela Spradlin of Cody; son Jason (Jessica) Hogg of Carson, Wash.; son Ty (Danette) Nay of El Centro, Calif.; stepdaughter Lynette Hessenthaler of Boise, Idaho; stepson Danny Proffitt of Billings, Mont.; her father, Quinn (Ruth) Blair; her mother, Elizabeth Horstman Blair; her sisters, Elizabeth (Keith) Kendall-Browne and Barbara Smith; her brother, Ted (Judy) Blair; eight grandchildren, Madison, Joshua, Jace, Derrick, Autumn, Douglas, Hannah and Raven; and aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Cremation has taken place. For those who wish, donations may be sent to the Marilyn Blair-Proffitt memorial fund at Community First National Bank, 1130 Sheridan Ave., Cody, WY 82414. Donations will be given, in her name, to her favorite charities and organizations.
