Faye M. Wilkerson, 88, died Thursday morning, Oct. 10 at the Powell Nursing Home.

She was born July 8, 1914, in Big Horn, Mont., to George W. and Ora (Marts) Smith. In 1934, she moved to Lovell and lived there until moving to Powell in 1993.

She was employed as a bookkeeper for Pacific Power & Light Co., retiring after 30 years of service. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, reading and keeping her family in line. She loved keeping up her beautiful flower gardens.

Survivors include her sons, George Card and wife Ruth of Missoula, Mont., and John Card and wife Alice of St. Mary's, W.Va.; a daughter, Dorothy Johnson and husband Walter of Powell; eight granddaughters; one step-grandson and 11 great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank three special people who helped make her last months easier, Marilyn Nelson, Diane Rentschler and Betty Mauch.

She was preceded in death by her sister Mildred; her parents and two husbands, Floyd Card and J.S. Wilkerson. According to her wishes, cremation has taken place, with private family services to be held at a later time.

Miratsky-Easton Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
