Michael George Bree II

Michael George Bree II, 45, died from complications following a heart attack in Phoenix, Arizona, on Monday, April 25, 2016. 

He was born to Michael G. and Karen S. (Beenblossom) Bree in Burlington, Iowa, on Dec. 3, 1970.

When Michael was 10, the family moved to Libby, Montana. He graduated in 1989. The family moved to Cody later that year, and Michael attended Rocky Mountain College in Billings, where he was a member of the Rocky Mountain College Battlin’ Bears football team from 1990-95.

Michael worked at various jobs in the Billings/Cody area, and for a time owned and operated Big Horn Wireless in Cody. For the last few years, he worked as a sales representative installing and servicing credit card processing machines.

In 2000, Michael married Kimberly Rae Brenner, and they had two children, Emery Jo and Ella Mykal. Michael and Kim divorced in 2004. He adored his daughters and always looked forward to the time he spent with them.

He was a loving, caring man. He loved children, and always wanted to have and be part of a loving family. He found that love and companionship with his fiancée Rochelle Bateman, and her children McKenzie, Ethan and Emma.

Michael is survived by daughters Emery and Ella of Sheridan; his parents; brother Matthew (Anissa); niece Skylah Bree and nephew Gabriel Bree of Cody; grandparents Ken and Viola Beenblossom, aunts Carolyn Lees and Carla (Eric) Schweizer, of Burlington/West Burlington, Iowa; aunt Sally Bree of Browns Mills, New Jersey; uncle Paul (Carol) of Maryland; cousins Katie, Kevin, Shanara, Shanti, Donna, and Stacy; his fiancée Rochelle and her children; and many friends.

He was preceded in death by grandparents Elmer G. Bree and Jane E. (Smith) Bree.

Funeral arrangements are being made through Ballard Funeral Home. Services will be held at the Cody United Methodist Church on Thursday, May 5, at 11 a.m., with a viewing from 10-11 a.m. Burial will be at Riverside-Graham Cemetery in Cody.
