George Wilmot Brown, 87, died on Dec. 14, 2015, surrounded by his children at Central Wyoming Hospice in Casper. 

He was born July 29, 1928, in Glasgow, Montana, to Sallie and Lester Brown, the oldest of three children.

At a young age, the family moved to Clark, where he grew up. 

George married Dorothy “Dody” Martin Rogers on Oct. 2, 1948, and they moved to Casper. He worked as a parts-man for Mayhew and Gardner Denver Supply for many years before his good friend, Angus Robertson, and he opened their own store, George Brown Supply.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Dorothy “Dody” Brown, and his parents, Lester and Sallie Brown.

He is survived by his daughter, Cheryl Bickling of Casper; sons Keith (Terry) Brown of Casper, Loren (Amy) Brown of Casper and Gary (Martie) Brown of Cody; two sisters, Marie Larsen and Grace Brown of Billings; 16 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Many spent time with him at the Central Wyoming Hospice prior to his passing.

He was cremated and requested that no services be held.
