(Bill) Irestone, 86, who died Sunday, Aug. 19 at the Powell Hospital & Nursing Home. The Rev. David Hunter will officiate at services. Burial of cremains will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery.He was born April 28, 1915, in St. Paul, Minn.,the son of William A. Irestone and Myrtle (Russell) Irestone. He was educated in Illinois. He was involved in trucking industry management until his retirement in 1979.On Jan. 19, 1980, he married H. Donna (Steck) Nielsen in Tucson, Ariz.Mr. Irestone was a member of the Union Presbyterian Church, the Chicago Transportation Club, Orphei Singing Club, Normennenes Singing Club, Germania Club and the Chicago Swedish Club. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards and playing pool.Survivors include his wife, H. Donna Irestone of Powell; a daughter, Linda L. DeMartino of Indianapolis, Ind.; two stepsons, Ted G. Nielsen of Hershey, Pa., and Jerry O. Nielsen of Reno, Nev.; seven grandchildren, Kathleen E. Miller, Jennifer L. Partlan, Heide Nielsen, Heather Nielsen, Devan Nielsen, Michelle Nielsen and Amy Nielsen; and three great-grandchildren, Erin Partlan, Liam Partlan and Jeremy Nielsen.He was preceded in death by his parents.For those who wish, the family would appreciate memorials to Union Presbyterian Church.
