Why are Wyoming policies set by Washington?

Posted

Dear editor:

Thanks to the political climate today, I am ashamed to be an American and for the first time in my life, thanks to Sen. John Barrasso, R-Wyo., I am also ashamed to be from Wyoming. It is now perfectly apparent why he was not elected, but appointed by the governor: He is not a Wyomingite.

It never occurred to me that our critical thinking skills could be so impacted that we would go along with the insanity that is happening all over the country, but to my personal discomfort, here in Wyoming as well. Who would have ever thought that Wyoming’s policies would be set in Washington by the officials who don’t care about Wyoming interests? Too many of those people we elected, both on the state and federal level, are not representing Wyoming but are currying favor with the idiots in D.C. So much for the old timers who truly believed the people we sent to Washington and Cheyenne had our best interests in mind.
