Following President Donald Trump’s infection with COVID-19, a “Made in America Showcase” that had been scheduled for Monday was postponed. John L. Blair, of J. L. Blair Saddlery in Greybull, had been invited to represent Wyoming at the White House showcase.
“The President extends his sincere appreciation to the companies that planned to attend this year’s event at the White House ...,” White House officials said in a statement. “He is incredibly proud of their grit, ingenuity, and use of American labor to manufacture exceptional products on the homeland.”
The statement said that Trump “remains steadfastly committed to implementing policies that put American workers first and allow businesses across the United States to thrive.”
Trump fell ill with COVID-19 on Thursday, Oct. 1, and spent the weekend at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center before returning to the White House on Monday.
