Dear Editor:
Last week, our president suggested ultraviolet light, and infusions of disinfectants, to kill any COVID-19 coronavirus that might be living in our bodies.
I contacted my pharmacist to see how long I should lay in a tanning booth and he suggested that I’d contract skin cancer before I killed any coronavirus in my lungs. I then asked him which disinfectants (bleach, Lysol, rubbing alcohol, hydrogen peroxide) might be the best disinfectants to use, and whether I should inhale, ingest or inject them for best results. He insisted that any method of introducing any of those materials into my body might be fatal.
I contacted Dr. John Barrasso with these questions. He’s a medical professional and might know more about these things than a simple pharmacist. I haven’t heard back from him yet. But then, to my knowledge he’s been awfully quiet throughout this whole pandemic. It’s almost as if he’s feeling conflicted between his knowledge as a physician and his aspirations as a politician …
