Was superintendent raise needed?

Posted

Dear Editor:

Great editorial on Wyoming’s financial crisis by the Casper Star-Tribune in Tuesday’s paper. But the page before tells about the school board giving a 2% raise to our school superintendent who makes $164,383, in a state where a typical three-person family has an income of $60,000.

What’s wrong with this picture? Is his job that big? I have nothing against Mr. Curtis, but in the time of layoffs and financial crisis in the whole country, did he really need a raise?

Speak to your school board members!!

Thanks,

Cynthia Garhart
