(Aug. 10, 1915 - March 10, 2003) The mother of two Powell women died Monday, March 10 in Powell Valley Care Center. Vivian Irene Slocum, 87, moved to Powell in July of 2000 to be near her daughters, Loreta Stebleton and Madelen McGregor.She was born Aug. 10, 1915, in Stapleton, Neb. to Irle and Lottie (Tabor) Crowe.Survivors include a son, Stanley Bonney of Boise, Idaho; three daughters, Loreta Stebleton and husband Gordon of Powell, Madelen McGregor, also of Powell, and Darlene York and husband Herman of Quartzsite, Ariz.; a sister, LaVaughn Eakens of Anderson, Texas; 11 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.Cremation has taken place, and her remains will be entombed at Greenwood Memorial Park in San Diego, Calif. Arrangements are under the direction of Miratsky-Easton Funeral Home.
