The American Legion Hughes-Pittinger Post 26 of Powell is inviting all veterans to its annual Veterans Day dinner on Wednesday evening.
In order to practice social distance, the Legion post is setting up different dining times so it can serve as many people as possible. The available times are 5, 6 or 7 p.m.
Those planning to attend are asked to call ahead and make a reservation for a time slot. Those who make reservations will need to be served before anyone who simply shows up.
“We hope to serve as many of our local veterans as possible and will always do all we can to accommodate all,” Legion leaders said in a news release.
As for the meal, the post will be serving ham (with an alternative of beef stew), potatoes, dinner rolls, salad and pie.
RSVP or request a takeout meal by emailing americanlegionposg26@gmail.com or call Post Commander Russell Stafford at 706-830-4648, Auxiliary President Patty Paulsen at 307-254-1357 or Sons of the Legion Commander Vaughn Paulsen at 307-271-1426.
