Wednesday’s annual Vespers concert, presented by the Powell High School and Northwest College choirs, begins a little later than initially reported.
First United Methodist Church will open its doors to concertgoers at 6 p.m., with prelude music from the NWC Brass Ensemble beginning at 6:30 p.m. The choir concert will then begin at 7 p.m.
Under the direction of Eric Hagmann at NWC and Rachel Schoessler at PHS, the two choirs will present a program of choral music ranging from holiday favorites to spirituals, including a wide selection of sacred and secular works.
Vespers is a popular holiday event in Powell, with attendees typically needing to arrive early to find a seat. A story that appeared in Thursday’s edition of the Tribune incorrectly listed the starting times a half-hour too early.
