Born May 27, 1920, in Leon County, Texas, Vernon was the son of Lonnie and Laura (Baker) Baggett. He was a veteran of WWII.Survivors include his daughter Linda Sue Ponder and husband James of Pearland, Texas; sons Ray Baggett and wife Susan of Watervliet, N.Y., Mike Baggett and wife Mary of Powell and Lonnie Baggett and wife Amber of Houston, Texas; sisters Eula Elliott of Teague, Texas and Kay Shipp and husband Bo of Houston; brother Benton Baggett and wife Ann of Mexia, Texas; grandchildren, Brian, Jason, Travis and Matthew and great grandchildren Jesse and Ivan. Arrangements are under the direction of Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home of Marble Falls, Texas.
