(May 27, 1920 - March 11, 2006) Vernon Ray Baggett, 85, of Granite Shoals, Texas, died Saturday, March 11.Graveside service will be Wednesday, March 15 at 11 a.m. at Lakeland Hills Memorial Park in Texas. Born May 27, 1920, in Leon County, Texas, Vernon was the son of Lonnie and Laura (Baker) Baggett. He was a veteran of WWII.Survivors include his daughter Linda Sue Ponder and husband James of Pearland, Texas; sons Ray Baggett and wife Susan of Watervliet, N.Y., Mike Baggett and wife Mary of Powell and Lonnie Baggett and wife Amber of Houston, Texas; sisters Eula Elliott of Teague, Texas and Kay Shipp and husband Bo of Houston; brother Benton Baggett and wife Ann of Mexia, Texas; grandchildren, Brian, Jason, Travis and Matthew and great grandchildren Jesse and Ivan. Arrangements are under the direction of Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home of Marble Falls, Texas.
