A touchless imposition of ashes — a small container of prepared ashes given to each person — will be offered in the parking lot of Powell First United Methodist Church at noon on Wednesday, Feb. 17.
A similar offering will be provided at 5 p.m. in Lovell. These are open to any and all who choose to come through. There will also be a service — with imposition done in the same way — at 7 p.m. in Powell.
Holy Week services for Maundy Thursday, April 1, will be held at 5 p.m. in Lovell and 7 p.m. in Powell. Masks will be required.
A Good Friday Tenebrae (Service of Darkness) will be held at 5 p.m. on April 2 in Lovell and at 7 p.m. in Powell, again with masks required.
A sunrise service is tentatively scheduled for Sunday, April 4 at Crown Hill Cemetery, pending board approval. It will also be streamed live on Facebook. Participants in person may stand outside or remain in their cars.
Easter worship will be held at 9 a.m. on Sunday, April 4 in Lovell and at 11 a.m. in Powell, with masks required.
In the event of mask situations or other mandates changing, requirements from the Park County and state governments will be observed.
