Three Powell High School football players have been named to the 2025 Shrine Bowl roster as seniors Keona Wisniewski, Doug Bettger and Trevon Abraham were all chosen for the 52nd annual event.
Wisniewski and Abraham were both All-State linebackers for the Panthers this past fall, with Wisniewski garnering his second straight honor while Abraham earned his first.
In addition to All-State, Wisniewski was named to the Super 25 team.
He led the Panthers with 174 defensive points including 95 total tackles, 45 of them solo. He added nine tackles for loss, six sacks, a fumble recovery and two interceptions.
He also quarterbacked the Panthers, recording 1,203 yards through the air with 14 touchdowns and five interceptions along with being the second leading rusher at 442 yards and four touchdowns.
Abraham recorded 139 defensive points at the linebacker position, recording 81 tackles, 38 of them solo. He added five tackles for loss, one sack, a fumble recovery and an interception.
Bettger starred along the defensive line for the Panthers, earning two All-State honors as a defensive tackle.
He recorded 39 defensive points, recording 17 tackles, five of them solo, two tackles for loss, two sacks and two fumble recoveries.
Bettger ate up a number of double teams for the Panthers throughout his high school career, and the three defensive standouts will be recognized one more time as part as the North team.
The Shrine Bowl game is scheduled for Saturday, June 14, at Cheney Alumni Field in Casper.
