THERMOPOLIS — The Wyoming Discovery Days Festival will include some major musicians this year for its “Big Music in a Small Town” concert, featuring country music legends Lorrie Morgan and Chancey Williams.
This special event will take place on Saturday, July 12, at the Thermopolis Golf Course. Gates open at 6 p.m., with the concert commencing at 7 p.m., followed by, the first ever in the state of Wyoming, a 300 drone light show to cap off the evening.
This concert serves as a fundraiser for the Wyoming Discovery Days Festival, which will be held the same weekend, July 12–13, at Hot Springs State Park in Thermopolis. The festival is free to attend and will feature a wide array of activities, including vendors, artists, food trucks, live demonstrations, reenactments, animals, live music, a bluegrass jam, storytelling, and a children's activity area with an Ag Olympics and circus, among other surprises.
Tickets for the “Big Music in a Small Town” concert are $40 each and can be purchased at Audra’s Copper Coo, the Thermopolis Chamber of Commerce, and O.E.B. Restaurant. Online ticket sales are available at thermopolischamber.org/events/details/big-music-in-a-small-town-36256. Tickets at the gate day of concert will be $50 each.
