The Yellowstone Songwriter Festival announces the lineup of songwriters for the third annual festival that will be held in downtown Cody on Sept. 7-9. This festival showcases the art of songwriting for three days in Cody. This year’s lineup includes five hit songwriters and 18 rising stars who will perform 30 unique shows in eight of Cody’s restaurants, bars and theaters.

Although the lineup is impressive, it is not so much who will be at the festival as it is what these musicians have created.

Nashville songwriters James Dean Hicks, Erin Enderlin, Frank Myers, Lisa Carver and Brett Jones will perform their songs and tell the stories behind those songs.

This combined group of songwriters has charted more than 20 No. 1 hits and hundreds of Billboard’s Top Ten Hits for performing artists including Blake Shelton, Sugarland, Crystal Gayle, John Michael Montgomery, Luke Bryan, Alan Jackson, Randy Travis, Reba McEntire, Martina McBride, Tracy Lawrence and Lee Ann Womack.

“All of these hit songwriters will blow the crowd away with their remarkable stories and incredible talent,” said Executive Director Mike Booth. “This is an experience no music lover should miss.”

In addition to the hit songwriter lineup, 17 rising star songwriters from Wyoming, Montana, Colorado, Tennessee, Kentucky, North Dakota, Texas and British Columbia will also join the festival. These original artists will perform 24 shows in the bars, cafes, restaurants and theaters of downtown Cody including Chamberlin Inn, Silver Dollar Bar, Proprietress, The Station at Cody Coffee, Cody Auditorium, Blanca Tatanka, Tossers Pizza & Beer and Cody Theater.

“Each day we will have multiple shows happening at once,” Booth said, “with two-to-three rising stars sharing the stage together to create a memorable musical experience. The streets of downtown Cody will be exploding with some of the best songwriters in the country.”

The Yellowstone Songwriter Festival is a production of the Rocky Mountain Songwriter Festivals, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that aims to promote the art of songwriting, encourage tourism in host communities and support music education. Since our inception we have given over $100,000 to fulfill our mission. Tickets and more information are available at yellowstonesongwriterfestival.org or contact Executive Director Mike Booth at mike@rockymtnsongwriterfestivals.org.
