(June 18, 1957 - May 30, 2006) Funeral services for Tanna Sue Reed will be held at 11 a.m. today (Tuesday, June 6) at Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home in Gillette. Interment will follow at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery. Tanna Sue Reed, 48, of Gillette died on Tuesday, May 30 at her home of natural causes. Shewas born on June 18, 1957 in Cody, the daughter of Jacob and Elva (Robbins) Kauffman. She attended school in Powell and graduated from Campbell County High School in 1975. Tanna married her soul mate and best friend Haskell “Chuck” Reed on May 27, 1989 in Gillette. She was known in Gillette for helping others. She volunteered at the soup kitchen since the second day it started; she also helped with the food drives, the Christmas basket program and Cub Scouts, until her health declined. Tanna was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and past secretary for the Presbyterian Women's Group. She also taught Bible School. Tanna loved watching her sons and grandchildren in sports, going camping, fishing and cooking for large groups and trying new recipes for her family and friends. She enjoyed helping others until her health declined. Tanna was a firecracker and will be remembered for her outgoing personality. She will also be remembered as an avid Denver Broncos fan and baseball enthusiast who actively supported her sons from Little League through American Legion Play. She also had an enormous love for cats of which she had very many in her life.Survivors include her husband, Chuck; four sons: Gary Kelley of Gillette, Joshua Plato of Buffalo Levi Reed and Jedudiah Reed also of Gillette; her parents; Jacob and Elva Kauffman of Gillette; three sisters: Leahmae Haynes of Manning, S.C., Althea Haynes of Gillette and Amber Markley of Powell; one brother; Jason Kauffman of Gillette; maternal grandmother; Elenora Robbins of Powell; two granddaughters, one grandson, numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. She was preceded in death by son, Michael Bain Kelley; and her maternal grandfather, Bain Robbins; paternal grandparents, Jacob and Margaret Kauffman.A memorial has been established in Tanna Sue Reed's name at Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home 210 W. 5th Street, Gillette, WY 82716 or via the internet at www.stevensonandsons.com.
