Gestalt Studios in Powell is hosting a gallery show featuring work by artist Susie Fish Rodriguez.
Rodriguez was born and raised in Cody. Fascinated with art her entire life, she obtained an associate degree in fine arts from Northwest College and a bachlor’s degree from Montana State University. Intrigued with other cultures and visual arts, she traveled to Brazil, Mexico, around the U.S., Canada and Europe to explore and seek craft and colors.
Her latest body of work has many sources and inspiration from family and friends, tinker stores, yard sales and thrift shops. From the “Lucy” series, made from glass perfume bottles, to the manipulation of half and full torsos, to zombies, there is something for everyone to look at.
The exhibit will remain on display through Thursday, when Gestalt will host a closing “costume party” from 6-9 p.m.
