Local elementary schools recognized students who received Citizenship Awards at the end of the school year.
To be nominated for the award, Southside students had to demonstrate extraordinary skills in being responsible, respectful and safe while also being helpful in the classroom and reliably considerate of all peers.
To receive the Parkside Citizenship Award, a student must consistently demonstrate Parkside Pride.
“They are respectful and, above all else, kind,” said Parkside Principal Jason Hillman. “The recipient of this award works hard to make Parkside a kind, safe place for everyone.”
Southside and Parkside provided the following lists of Citizenship Award recipients for the 2019-20 school year. Westside doesn’t have an all-school Citizenship Award at the end of the year, but does the awards every month during its regular assemblies.
