Following the winter break the Northwest College rodeo team is set to hit the ground running this weekend, with two rodeos taking place over four days.
Those rodeos will take place in Bozeman, as Montana State University will host the first rodeo Thursday and Friday with the second taking place on Saturday and Sunday.
The Trappers will be hoping for a bigger set of spring performances, as a poor fall has the Trapper men sitting sixth in the Big Sky standings with a total score of 138 points as a team.
MSU has run away at the top of the team standings with a total of 3,583.5 points.
Individually the Trappers will also have plenty of work to do if any of them hope to make it to the College National Finals Rodeo, with only the duo of Chance Marshall and Jaxson Coleman being ranked inside the top 15 in team roping at 13th.
The Trappers will be busy over the next month, as they will head to Montana State University-Northern the following weekend for a singular rodeo on April 17-18.
Northwest then heads northeast to Miles City for a pair of rodeos at Miles Community College on April 23-26, before ending the season at the University of Montana in Missoula on May 1-2.
Should any cowboys or cowgirls make it to compete in the CNFR, it will be held in Casper June 14-20.
