Spring Forward Expo returns to Cody Library

Posted

The Cody Library will host its annual Spring Forward Expo on Friday, March 13, from noon-3 p.m. This free event is open to the public and focuses on helping local residents prepare for the upcoming growing season in Wyoming’s unique climate.

Free seeds will once again be available through the Park County Seed Library, giving participants the opportunity to start or expand their gardens.

Two featured presentations will take place in Grizzly Hall. At noon, Olivia Bergeron of the Cody Conservation District will lead a hands-on composting demonstration, offering practical instruction on building and maintaining compost systems that work in Wyoming’s conditions.

At 2 p.m., Josh Pomeroy will present “Caring for Trees in Wyoming’s Climate,” addressing best practices for planting, watering, and maintaining healthy trees.

In addition to the presentations, the expo will include giveaways and opportunities for informal learning and conversation with knowledgeable veteran gardeners out in the lobby.

The Spring Forward Expo is designed to provide practical information, encourage sustainable gardening practices, and connect local residents with resources available through the library and the broader community.

For more information, contact the Cody Library at 307-527-1880 or visit parkcountylibrary.org.
