CODY— The Park County Library Foundation will host a special book sale in memory of notable outfitter, professional horseman, and conservationist Ronald Roger “Ron” Dube on Thursday, Sept. 18, from 1-7 p.m., and Friday, Sept. 19, from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. at the Cody Library. The sale will feature books from Dube’s personal collection, with proceeds benefiting the Park County Library Foundation.
Dube (1942–2025) made Wyoming his home more than 50 years ago. Inducted into the Wyoming Outdoor Hall of Fame in 2023, he guided countless hunters, played a pivotal role in shaping game laws and outfitting standards in the state, and devoted his life to educating others about Wyoming’s wildlife and natural world.
The sale includes a wide selection of books on hunting, trapping and the outdoors, with an emphasis on hunting in India and Africa. Some titles are rare and valuable, published by specialized outdoor and hunting presses. Books will be available at individual prices, with general pricing of $10 per hardback and $5 per paperback.
The foundation thanks Carol Dube for donating her husband’s collection in his memory.
