Shots were reportedly fired and a vehicle was allegedly used in an assault at a residence near Otto. The incident occurred at 11:26 a.m. Tuesday, on Lane 43 in Big Horn County, according to Big Horn County Sheriff’s Office Undersheriff Blaine Jolley.
“Shots had been fired and it is alleged that a vehicle was used in an alleged assault,” Jolley said.
Teri Foote, 26, of Greybull with a mailing address in Otto, was arrested Tuesday after the scene was processed by specialists from the sheriff’s office, Jolley said.
Officers determined that shots had been fired at the scene, but it is difficult to determine at this point what kind of gun was used, Jolley said.
“There were a couple of weapons discharged — a pistol and a shotgun,” Jolley said. “But, what shots that were taken, right now, is being investigated — we aren’t sure which weapon they came from.”
Foote’s alleged victim, an adult female, was admitted to South Big Horn County Hospital in Basin, and her condition remains unknown as of press time. Foote remains in custody in Big Horn County.
Several aspects of the incident remain unclear and it is all under investigation, Jolley said.
