The Park County Library Foundation will be having a huge book sale on Friday, Sept. 5 and Saturday, Sept. 6 at the Heart Mountain Hall at the Park County Fairgrounds. This will be a bag sale from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. on Friday and 9 a.m.-1 p.m. on Saturday. Fill up your bag for $5, take home some great books and support the Park County libraries. All proceeds from the sale going to support the Park County Libraries.
September is National Library Card Sign Up Month. All Park County libraries will be focused on making sure we can get more Park County residents a library card. If you live in Park County and don’t have a library card, stop by the library and get one. It’s free, only takes a minute and allows you to access a lot of resources and materials. It benefits you and helps show your support for Park County libraries.
All Park County libraries will be celebrating Constitution Day on Sept. 17. There will be pocket-sized constitutions available at all three libraries Sept. 15-19, along with display of books highlighting the U.S. Constitution.
The Powell Library is hosting a kickoff party for 1000 Books Before Kindergarten on Monday, Sept. 22 at 10:30 a.m. Families are invited to join us in a fun celebration, learn about the revamped free program that helps your read to your little one. Join us for crafts, games, sign up for the program and meet a favorite book character.
Powell Library will be hosting a Hosta Exchange Sept. 8-12.
The Powell Library is offering Beginning Crochet for all ages. Join us on Monday, Sept. 8 at 6 p.m. to start learning how to crochet.
Powell Library is offering Family History Friday, Sept. 12 at 9 a.m.
Join us at the Powell Library for an Introduction to Canning & Preserving on Tuesday, Sept. 16 at 6 p.m. Denise Laursen will discuss how to safely can and preserve your garden produce.
All ages are welcome to join us for Bring Your Own Crafternoon every Wednesday from 1-3 p.m. Enjoy hanging out with other crafters as you work on your craft projects.

Join us for Adult Craft Night on Thursday, Sept. 18 at 6 p.m. to make your own Hanging Faux Flower Pot. Adult Craft Night will be at the Powell Elks Lodge at 581 Clark St.
Ages 10 & up join us on Friday, Sept. 26 from 1-3 p.m. for an afternoon of board games and fun. Stop by and play, a variety of games are available.
Powell Library is offering different book discussions for all your literary tastes. All book discussions meet at the Homesteader Hall meeting room. Tuesday Afternoon Book Discussion meets Sept. 9 at 2 p.m. where we will be discussing “My Italian Bulldozer” by Alexander McCall Smith.
The Tuesday evening book group will meet on Tuesday, Sept. 30 at 6 p.m. to discuss “Behind her Eyes,” by Sarah Pinborough.
Powell Library is offering Tech Tuesday, sign up for a one on one session with Park County Library IT who can help you with your device problems. Tech Tuesday will be Sept. 16, signups required.
