There were multiple donations to Park County School District 1 announced at the school board’s regular Jan. 12 meeting.
Those gifts included $5,000 from an anonymous donor to Parkside Elementary School. Meanwhile, Union Presbyterian Church gifted the elementary and middle schools caps and gloves, and The Market at Powell (formerly Mr. D’s) gave turkeys, canned goods, butter, trail mix and gift cards to families in need at Westside Elementary School. Katie Eastman donated $300 to Powell Middle School for families in need while Vicki Dougherty donated $30 for clothes and shoes for children in need.
The donations were accepted by the board on behalf of the students and staff, and appreciation was expressed to the donors.
