Local elementary schools recently recognized students who received President’s Awards for Educational Excellence. To earn a gold presidential award, a student had to earn advanced level scores in two of the WYTOPP categories and proficient level in the remaining category at the end of fourth grade, or reach these same scores by the winter WYTOPP in fifth grade.

To earn a silver presidential award, a student had to earn an advanced level score in one of the WYTOPP categories and proficient in the remaining two categories at the end of fourth grade or reach these same scores by the winter WYTOPP in fifth grade.
