Nine from club compete in BillingsNine members of the Powell Swim Club recently took part in the Big Sky State Games in Billings. Included in those numbers were multiple gold medal performances from Jerry Rodriguez and Tanya Fawcett-Kay. Six of the seven remaining Powell-based swimmers finished in the top eight of their respective races. Fifteen-year-old Anya Tracy was the only other medalist though, earning the bronze in the 100 fly. Rodriguez and Fawcett-Kay brought home more than enough medals for the community, however. The pair brought home a haul of 11 gold medals as they dominated in the water.Fawcett-Kay won the 35-39 age division of the 50 backstroke, 100 individual medley, 50 fly, 200 breast stroke and 100 free. Rodriguez was the top competitor in the 50-54 age division in the 100 free, 50 breast stroke, 50 free, 100 breast stroke, 100 individual medley and 50 backstroke. Nine members of the Powell Swim Club recently took part in the Big Sky State Games in Billings. Included in those numbers were multiple gold medal performances from Jerry Rodriguez and Tanya Fawcett-Kay.
