The Powell Aquatic Center will reopen to the public at 5:30 a.m. Friday — though on a “very limited” basis, pool leaders said Wednesday. The center had been closed since March 16.
Starting Friday, the lap pool will be limited to one swimmer per lane and only 12 swimmers in the leisure pool/lazy river. Further, the locker rooms will remain closed, “so please come in your suit ready to swim,” PAC leaders said in a Facebook post.
“At this time this is on a first come, first-served basis, but we may re-evaluate as time goes on,” the post said. “If we have reached our pool limits, you will have to wait.”
The restrictions are set to run through at least May 15.
