Dear Editor:
I just wanted to express my gratitude to the Powell Public Library. During this time of social distancing and sheltering in place, they have found a way to continue offering their services.
Through reserving books/DVDs online and scheduling pick-ups, they have allowed my family a much-needed resource during this difficult time. My children are reading new series, I have been exploring some different authors and the family is watching movies together that we wouldn’t have been able to without this option.
This creative solution allows them to serve the community while also helping flatten the curve. If you haven’t had a chance to use this new service I encourage you to call the Powell Library to get details on how it works.
In my experience with our local library, this is just another example of the great work they do everyday. Having children who have grown up with Powell’s library services, I am grateful for the caring professionals we have in our small town who always work hard to support our community.
