Awards presented to Panthers at Monday banquet
The Powell High School commons were abuzz Monday night as the Athletic Awards banquet was held to honor a number of Panther student-athletes.
The event began with a free barbecue dinner, sponsored by the Powell Athletic Roundtable, with Athletic Director Tim Wormald opening up the proceedings with a talk about the pride in the sustained success and continuing efforts of Powell High School athletics.
Wormald introduced and turned the microphone over to long-time coach Ray Bieber, who reminisced about his time leading both the Powell swim and tennis teams, as well as key lessons he has learned along the way about leading young student-athletes.
