Middle-schoolers compete at Home Invitational
Middle school students from Cody, Lovell, Ten Sleep, Rocky Mountain, Themopolis and Powell competed at the Powell Athletic Roundtable Middle School Invitational Track Meet on Saturday.
A new school record was set by Emma Karhu in the pole vault with her second place height of 7’6”. The record was previously held by Kayla Kolpitcke from 2015 and Kaela Frazier from 1997 at 6’6”.
No team scores were kept, but the following are individual scores for Powell’s runners.
Eighth-grade girls results
• 100 meters: first place, Kady Wells, 14.23 and fifth place, Samantha Herchkorn, 15.49
• 200 meters: first place, Natalie Dillivan, 30.35 and second place, Sabrina Shoopman, 31.03
