‘Pop-up Pantry’ to distribute food in Cody on Tuesday

In an effort to get as much fresh produce and milk out to Wyoming households experiencing food insecurity, Wyoming Food Bank of the Rockies is scheduling “Pop-up Pantries” during March. One such event will be held in Cody on Tuesday.

Wyoming Food Bank of the Rockies says the need for food support continues to be great. With the organization continuing regular food distributions, it says careful consideration went into identifying the areas of the state in the greatest need of additional food.

Working with local partners in the Cody area, a pantry event will be held from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday, March 9 at the Cody Stampede Grounds.

Those attending will be asked to verify there is food uncertainty in their home, how many people live there and whether there are any children or seniors in the home. No documentation or qualification is required.

Wyoming Food Bank of the Rockies says it will take community support to carry out the events. To help share the news of these Pop-up Pantries, contribute toward the cost of these efforts, volunteer at the events, or learn more, visit www.wyomingfoodbank.org.
