There is still time to see Martin John Garhart’s art show at Plaza Diane, “to there from here,” before it ends Saturday.
The show is a small selected group of paintings and prints that demonstrate the way his ideas have developed over time. Martin says, “As we move from moment to moment, we change, as do the questions, sometimes in big ways but for the most part, the movement is subtle. That movement and its subtly are reflected in my work.”
Garhart is a professor of art emeritus from Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio, where he taught studio art for many years. His works are in over 40 institutions including the Brinton Museum, Library of Congress, and the Smithsonian Institute, as well as numerous private collections.
Garhart is donating to Crisis Intervention Services, Big Horn Basin Empowerment Project, St. John’s Pantry and Plaza Diane. Gallery hours at Plaza Diane are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 3-6 p.m. Contact plazadiane@gmail.com for more information.
