The 2020 Powell High School alumni reunion had a scaled back presence in the midst of the pandemic, and this year alumni association planners want to get some of the punch back in the gathering.
After a skinnied down version of the 105th annual reunion went into the books in July of last year, the 106th is going to have more of the trappings of a regular reunion year, said Gerry Wilkins of Billings. Individual class reunions, which were mostly skipped a year ago, are expected to return.
The 2021 PHS alumni weekend is set for July 9-10. The alumni golf tournament at the Powell Golf Course kicks off the weekend on Friday, July 9.
The Powell Rotary Club will host the annual alumni breakfast Saturday, July 10, and the Northwest College Alumni car show is scheduled to return to the NWC campus that morning. “Noon in the Park” will again be sponsored by the Classes of 1968 and 1970 in Washington Park the afternoon of July 10.
The celebration wrap-up will feature music, food and beverage around a bonfire at the fairgrounds Saturday, July 10.
