PHS divers perform well in Gillette

Being able to perform 11 dives is a rare opportunity throughout the season for the Powell Panther divers, and the trio got to do just that by making the trip to Gillette to take part in an invitational.

Leading the way for Powell and finishing 14th with a 272 was Tori Black.

She finished just ahead of Aramonie Brinkerhoff who had a 251.05 to finish 17th.

Powell’s final diver was Emma Brence, who finished with a 220.45 to take 20th.

All three divers have already qualified for the state meet, and were afforded the opportunity to perform on the boards they will see at the state meet in just under three weeks’ time.

Powell will continue to work on routines, heading to the conference meet in Cody on Friday at 2 p.m. and Saturday at 10 a.m.

The Panthers will be seeking their third straight conference title and fourth in the last five years.
