Tribune photo by Randal Horobik Team tops 200 points in CodyThe Powell High School boys topped rival Cody for the second time in four days while the girls were third among four teams at the Cody Trackstravaganza on Tuesday afternoon. Lovell and Burlington were also in attendance.The Panther boys amassed 213.5 points to out-distance host Cody by 66 points. The meet was largely a head-to-head battle between the two schools as Lovell and Burlington each finished with 40 points.
Rustin Myrick built upon his four Saturday event wins by picking up titles in the 200 and the 110-meter hurdles in Cody. The Panthers also brought home wins in the 100 (Drew Magill), 400 (Kyle Sullivan) and 800 (Dallas Robirds). Ty England was a winner in the 300-meter hurdles.
On the girls' side of the competition, Cody scored a 35-point victory over runner-up Burlington. Powell joined both of those schools in tallying more than 100 points.
Stephanie Paul had Powell's only individual win of the day when she nipped teammate Alyssa Rodriguez by one quarter of a second in the 400 meters. Kassey MacDonald and Haylee Humphries also placed in the top eight for the Panthers in the event.
Marquette McArthur, Emily Kath and Hannah Groves each placed in the top eight in shot put competition for Powell.
The Panthers' track program is scheduled to return to action in Sheridan on Saturday.
