Memorial services for former Emblem resident Patra Louise Preis will be held Saturday, June 25 at 2 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church in Emblem.
Patra, 70, died Dec. 16, 2010 from complications of diabetes.
She was born in Greybull on April 25, 1940, the daughter of Walter and Fern Preis of Emblem. She spent her childhood on the family farm at Emblem and attended a two-room school through the eighth grade. She completed her secondary education in Greybull and graduated from Greybull High School in 1958.
Patra received her degree from the University of Wyoming in 1962 and then pursued a career as a medical technologist in Texas, Wyoming and Arizona.
Her parents, Walter and Fern Preis, preceded her in death.
She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Paul and Donna Hanselmann of Buford, Wyo; her brother and sister-in-law, George and Beverly Preis of Lovell; an aunt, Geneva Preis of Greybull; six nieces and nephews, Tim, Susan and Michal Hanselmann and Renee and Wesley Preis and her grand-niece, Taryn Preis.
