Part of County Road 2AB to be closed Wednesday

Posted

Mountain Construction Company will be implementing a one day closure of County Road 2AB from the railroad tracks to the intersection with U.S. Highway 14A on Wednesday, April 2. The closure will be from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. according to a release from Wyoming Department of Transportation Resident Engineer Todd Frost.

The $821,000 WYDOT project to add a right turn lane on the southbound side of the highway began this week.

This closure will allow removal of an existing pipe and replacement of a new irrigation pipe across County Road 2AB. It will also allow the relocation of an existing Lumen Fiber Optic cable that is in conflict with the project on County Road 2AB without disrupting service. This fiber optic facilitates many important services including emergency services.

Access will still be available at all times from County Road 2AB to Wyo. Highway 120N on the west end of County Road 2AB during this closure.

In addition, traffic will be controlled by flaggers on U.S. Highway 14A and County Road 2 AB on Tuesday, April 1, so the existing asphalt can be removed from the approach a half at a time to facilitate this work.
