Park County Open Lands invites the community to its fourth Annual Community Picnic on Thursday, July 10, from 5-8 pm. Hosted at Canal Park in the heart of Cody, the event offers an opportunity to gather and celebrate the role of open spaces in supporting conservation, agriculture, and community in Park County.

This family friendly community picnic will feature live music by the Rowdy Uncle Band and a local meal from The Laughing Pig. Activities ensure the picnic is a good time for all ages.

"I eagerly anticipate gathering once again with neighbors, farmers, ranchers, and conservationists for our fourth Annual Community Picnic," said Alex Few, Park County Open Lands director. "This event celebrates the partnerships and shared commitment that help protect the remarkable place we call home. We'll return to Canal Park as friends, where the picnic first began three years ago, to reconnect, celebrate, and enjoy an evening together as a community."

Tickets are on sale now for $20 per person. Attendance is free for children 12 and under. It is highly recommended that tickets be secured early by calling (307)-202-8762 x4 or visiting jhlandtrust.org/events/pcolpicnic4.

The picnic will also feature a raffle, with the chance to win a range of unique prizes centered around enjoying the local landscape and offerings, including:

• Bighorn sheep horn vase from Wyo Backcountry Decor

• Half-day raft trip for two people offered by Gradient Mountain Sports

• Gift basket of chocolate from the Meeteetse Chocolatier

Raffle winners will be announced during the picnic, but winners will not need to be present to claim their prizes. Raffle tickets are $20 each and can be purchased alongside picnic tickets. All raffle proceeds will contribute directly to efforts focused on protecting open spaces and landscapes in Park County.

The Park County Open Lands Picnic is made possible by all our generous sponsors. The event is presented by Engineering Associates, J Bar 9, Nielson & Associates Inc., Rev Real Estate, and Wyo Backcountry Decor, and supported by Bobcat of the Bighorn Basin, Edward Jones, Gradient Mountain Sports, Joyvagen, JUB Engineers, Midwest Fence Company, Meeteetse Chocolatier, Morrison Maierle, Northern Gardens, Pella Windows, Pinnacle Bank, Rev Real Estate, Ryno’s Rental and White Ink.
