The Park County libraries in Powell, Cody and Meeteetse are expanding their hours.
As of this week, the Powell Library will be open from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Monday through Friday and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.
Over in Cody, the library will be open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday-Thursday, and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday. At the library in Meeteetse, the facility will be open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday to Thursday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday.
The expanded hours were approved by the Park County Library System Board of Directors on Thursday.
Amid the continuing COVID-19 pandemic, librarians will follow the CDC and public health guidelines of social distancing. All who visit are “strongly encouraged” to wear a mask. Public computers will be available by reservation, up to one hour per day per patron. Materials are still being quarantined.
Curbside service will also continue. Call the libraries to make arrangements, in Powell at 307-754-8828, in Cody at 307-527-1880 or in Meeteetse call at 307-868-2248.
In Cody, meeting rooms will be available on a limited basis.
However, “we won’t have meeting room space in Powell until we stop quarantining items and storing furniture,” Powell Library Manager Faith Johnson said. The Powell facility’s Fireside Room is not considered a separate space.
