Fire restrictions in Park County were lifted this week due to the cooling weather, Park County Fire Marshal Jerry Parker announced Wednesday morning.
Restrictions were put in place just days after the Independence Day holiday due to high temperatures and dry conditions. Since then, the county has seen enough precipitation and some cooling of weather to blunt earlier concerns for a bad summer fire season.
Parker said BLM is also lifting restrictions, while the Forest Service never put them in place in the region.
