After being canceled in 2020, the Park County Fair Parade made a big comeback on Saturday. The 2021 parade featured 42 entries with more than 75 different components, making it a rewarding and successful event, organizers said.
The fair parade is under the direction of the Park County Fair Foundation with assistance this year from the Powell Chamber of Commerce and the Dano Youth Camp.
Saturday’s parade opened with the Powell Police Department leading the way, followed by the Powell Boy Scouts Troop 26, which presented the colors and led the Pledge of Allegiance. Addison Moretti sang the National Anthem in downtown Powell to officially start the parade.
The 2021 parade theme was “The Tradition Lives On.” Kaitlyn Stryjewski with Big Horn Radio Network served as the emcee for Saturday’s parade.
“Each and every entry was special and represented the many activities, organizations and businesses supporting Powell and the area,” said Joyce Ostrom with the Dano Youth Camp.
