As the summer comes to a close, Powell High School athletics will soon make their return. Five fall sports will begin practice in the coming weeks.
Tennis and golf practice both begin Monday. The first golf practice is 8 a.m. that day, while tennis starts at 10 a.m.
Football, volleyball, cross country and girls’ swimming began practicing the following Monday, Aug. 16. Volleyball and girls’ swimming will hold two-a-days Monday, while football and cross country have one practice at 6 a.m. and 8 a.m. that day, respectively.
The Powell Athletic Roundtable will hold a fundraiser on Tuesday, Aug. 17 at 6 p.m. in the PHS Commons, followed by an all-sport meeting in the PHS auditorium at 6:45 p.m.
