Buffalo Bill State Park invites visitors to enjoy a Saturday presentation about ospreys.
Marynell Oechsner, a retired U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service biologist, will offer a PowerPoint presentation on the magnificent birds from 6-7 p.m. at Shreve Lodge. The program will also include a viewing of an active osprey nest near the lodge; both the male and female have arrived and are sitting on the nest.
Other birds of prey in the area include great horned owls and nest.
Guests are asked to pay the state park’s day use fees to attend the event. “Thank you for your support,” park officials said.
