After initially being shuttered due to concerns about E. coli, the Ok-A-Beh swim beach at Bighorn Canyon National Recreation Area opened on Thursday afternoon.
Park officials announced the news Friday, after receiving confirmation from Energy Laboratories that new water testing showed the E. coli levels were below the standard threshold for E. coli. Park staff samples both the Ok-A-Beh and Horseshoe Bend swim beach areas regularly to ensure the water is safe.
