A Powell man who tried buying alcohol while completely nude has paid a $110 fine for indecent exposure.
Kevin McGary, 58, strolled into the Maverik store around 2 p.m. Oct. 30, said Powell Police Chief Roy Eckerdt. Eckerdt said as far as police know, McGary did not have any money on his person.
However, the chief said the primary reason Maverik staff refused to sell to him was that “they realized that he probably didn’t need any more alcohol.”
McGary then drove away. A part of the incident was captured on video by a bystander and the footage circulated among local residents.
McGary made the $110 payment to Powell’s Municipal Court on Dec. 2. The offense was charged as a forfeitable offense, so he did not have to make an actual appearance in court.
