Northwest College to hold in-person spring commencement

Northwest College will host an in-person commencement ceremony in Cabre Gym on Saturday, May 8, at 10:30 a.m.

The college will adhere to the public health orders in place at the time of the ceremony. NWC is tentatively planning to require graduates and spectators in the gym to wear face coverings and maintain 6 feet of social distancing.

Because there may be limitations on how many people can gather in Cabre Gym on May 8, NWC currently plans to only allow friends and family in the stands. At this time, each graduate is able to invite two people to the ceremony.

Guests who are unable to attend the in-person ceremony, or those who prefer to watch this year’s graduation online, can view the event live on Facebook, YouTube, Twitter or the college’s website at nwc.edu.

NWC students who graduated in 2020 are also welcome to participate in this year’s commencement ceremony. Those who are interested can contact NWC Registrar and Registration Coordinator Alejandra Gonzales at Alejandra.Gonzales@nwc.edu or 307-754-6435.

The pinning ceremony for nurses will take place Friday, May 7, at 3 p.m. in the Nelson Performing Arts Auditorium. This event will also be available to watch via live streaming.

Note that details are subject to change as public health orders shift.

Stay tuned as more details about commencement emerge at nwc.edu/countdown.
