The Park County Library Foundation is bringing back Night at the Library for its third annual event, set to take place 6:30-9:30 p.m. on Friday, April 11, at the Cody Library.
This interactive, adults-only (21-plus) fundraiser offers an evening of immersive literary-themed experiences, fine food and drinks and lively entertainment — all in support of the Park County Library system.
This year’s event draws inspiration from four beloved books: “True Grit” by Charles Portis, “Treasure Island” by Robert Louis Stevenson, “The Godfather” by Mario Puzo and “Pride and Prejudice” by Jane Austen. Each title will have its own decorated station featuring themed appetizers and a specialty cocktail, designed to bring the books to life. A full bar will be available, and attendees are encouraged to bring cash for drinks, as well as for special activities, including a liquor draw and a rum game inspired by "Treasure Island."
In addition to the literary ambiance, each station will offer a unique game for guests to enjoy, adding to the evening’s entertainment. Night at the Library has been a success in previous years, providing attendees with the opportunity to experience literature in a whole new way while supporting a vital community resource.
“The Night at the Library is definitely worth buying a ticket and attending,” said Foundation Chair Barb Francis. “Great food, drinks, lots of fun at the library after hours, and all proceeds go to help all Park County libraries.”
Tickets are available for $60 in advance and $65 at the door. They can be purchased at any Park County library, online at parkcountylibrary.org, at the Cody Country Chamber of Commerce, or at the door on the night of the event.
