Powell Creative Corner returns Friday, July 24 from 5-7 p.m. at Gestalt Studios with an evening of live performances, visual art, storytelling, poetry, music and community creativity.
The event is currently seeking local artists, performers, and volunteers of all experience levels. Organizers describe the showcase as a low-pressure, beginner-friendly creative space designed to encourage artistic expression and community connection in Powell.
This month’s gathering especially welcomes vibrant, colorful work inspired by authentic self-expression, resilience, diverse stories of love, and cultural history, with encouragement for pieces inspired by underrepresented artists.
Participants may perform live, display visual artwork, submit anonymous writing through a “Read-For-Me” option, or simply attend as audience members. Family-friendly performances and artwork are requested, as children may be present.
